Practicing since 2006
I most commonly treat atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias, specializing in catheter ablation as well as device procedures, including pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders.
I take a patient-centered approach to care. Every patient is different, and the right treatment can vary depending on where they are in their health journey and what their goals are. My goal is to bring the right therapy to patients at the right time for them as individuals.
One of the most compelling aspects of cardiology is that it allows you to meet patients at many different stages of life and health. Sometimes I meet patients during moments of great need, and I have the opportunity to help guide them through that crisis. Other times, I get to work with patients to prevent life-changing health events from happening in the first place, building meaningful relationships over years and decades.
On a broader level, because cardiovascular disease is so widespread, cardiology and electrophysiology also offer the opportunity to shape care on a population scale — through research, innovation, and improved care delivery that can truly change outcomes for many people.
It’s important to me to empower patients to be active participants in their care. My role isn’t to dictate what care you need, but rather to listen with empathy and understanding, meeting you where you’re at and providing the guidance you need to make the best decisions for your health.
I love to travel and stay active. I play tennis recreationally and love spending time outdoors with my two teenage sons, mountain biking and hiking whenever we can. I’m also an avid Formula 1 fan, and many weekends in our house revolve around watching races together.
