Practicing since 1982
I specialize in anesthesiology and am also board-certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease. I also have training as a certified medical electro-acupuncturist. This combination allows me to approach patient care with a broad clinical perspective, strong technical expertise, and a focus on patient comfort and safety honed over more than 40 years caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
I believe comfort starts with trust and human connection. Many patients feel anxious when they come in for care, so I focus on easing that anxiety from the very beginning — sometimes through calm reassurance, sometimes through light humor, and always through clear communication. I want patients to feel at ease asking questions and sharing honest information, because that allows me to provide the safest and most effective care possible.
I’ve wanted to pursue medicine for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been fascinated by how the human body works and motivated by the opportunity to help people in meaningful, tangible ways. That curiosity led me to study physiology and ultimately to medical school.
I want patients to know that honesty and trust are central to how I care for them. When patients feel comfortable sharing their full health history and concerns, I’m able to make the safest, most informed decisions on their behalf. My priority is always to take good care of you — and that starts with open, judgment-free communication.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. I especially love working in the garden and landscaping, because I find a lot of satisfaction in physical work where you can see the results of your effort. Moving gravel in the wheelbarrow — that’s my thing.
