Practicing since 2003
I specialize in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias. I also emphasize long-term rhythm management through risk-factor modification, partnering with my patients to reduce future risk and maintain a high quality of life through healthy lifestyle modifications.
I try to understand not just a patient’s condition but also any fears, questions, or expectations they may have. I communicate clearly, answer every question I can, and make sure people feel heard. My goal is to be a true health advocate — someone who can identify patients’ needs quickly, guide them through their options, and support them through their health journey
Back when I was in medical school, I witnessed a man go into cardiac arrest right in front of the ER. My colleauges and I shocked him, then rushed him to the cath lab, where we found he had multiple blockages in his coronary arteries and needed bypass surgery. When I got home that night, it hit me — this work saves lives.
I love seeing patients improve over time. One of the first things I tell them after a a procedure like an ablation is that my goal is not to see them too often, and we work together to make that happen. When a patient comes back and says, “I lost 10 or 20 pounds,” or “I quit smoking,” that’s music to my ears.
Staying active is important to me. I played badminton when I was younger, and in my early 40s, I took up tennis. I love challenging myself to continue to improve and even learn new sports like pickleball.
